Matt Barnes claims LeBron would be a perfect fit with the Lakers

Image
. You’ve probably heard the rumor by now. LeBron James, who is expected to test free agency next summer, might sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. Due to the allure of Hollywood, among other business-related factors, the Lakers seem like a natural fit for James. If he decides to leave his hometown team again, Los Angeles would seemingly have to also sign another big-name free agent or two in order to sweeten the deal. Russell Westbrook and Paul George are two names that have also been linked to the Lakers. At this time, Westbrook hasn’t yet signed his super-max extension to remain in Oklahoma City and George, his teammate, is set to test free agency next summer. Therefore, could Westbrook and George play a year together with the Thunder, develop chemistry, not re-sign in OKC and both bolt to Los Angeles along with LeBron? That situation, especially since the trio of All-Stars would join a young core with the presumed cap space available, has the common NBA fan salivating. Outs...

Kevin Durant denies LeBron James is better than him

Image
Another day, another jab thrown at LeBron James. After Stephen Curry openly mocked his workout routine at Harrison Barnes’ wedding to the delight of Kyrie Irving, who has requested a trade out of Cleveland, Kevin Durant got in on the action. On his YouTube channel, a fan suggested that LeBron is better than him. “LeBron is better than you it’s just fax,” a fan named Joe Deezy wrote.  “Nah,” was Durant’s short and sweet reply. Somehow, the Finals MVP saw the comment, and he wasn't going to let it slide.  For what it’s worth, Durant earned the Finals MVP honor against LeBron and absolutely manhandled the Cavaliers in the five-game series. Under the bright lights, Durant averaged a ridiculous 35.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.6 blocks over 39.8 minutes. He shot 55.6 percent overall from the field, including 47.4 percent from beyond the arc and also converted 92.7 percent of his free throw attempts. He scored 38, 33, 31, 35 and 39 points in what was one of the...

Harry Redknapp sends warning to Man United about new signing

Birmingham manager Harry Redknapp questions Manchester United signing Romelu Lukaku Harry Redknapp has warned Manchester United that Romelu Lukaku doesn’t always perform to the highest level. The Reds Devils managed to pull off a transfer coup after Manchester United beat Premier League champions Chelsea to the signing of Romelu Lukaku. The 20-time English champions signed the Belgium international in a £75m deal from Everton despite initial talk of the striker returning to Chelsea. Lukaku scored 25 times in 36 games in the Premier League last season – only Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane scored more times than the Belgian star. Questions have been raised about Lukaku’s big-game mentality following muted performances in Everton’s games against the so-called top five last season. Birmingham manager Redknapp believes Manchester United will fancy their chances of challenging for the title but admitted doubts remain surrounding Lukaku. “Jose Mourinho will be fancying his chances too at O...

Sanchez flies to London via Paris sparking speculation

Image
Alexis Sanchez is flying back to London to join up with his Arsenal teammates but news that he will stopover in Paris has fuelled speculation the forward is holding talks with PSG ahead of a possible transfer to the French capital, reports independent.co.uk. Details of Sanchez’s journey were revealed by lawyer, Ruben Inostroza Povea, who uploaded a picture of the pair at Santiago airport in Chile. The image led some Arsenal fans to question whether the fact he was travelling via Paris with his lawyer was a bad omen for the club. However, as The Independent reported in 2014 when Sanchez first joined Arsenal, the forward may be going to Paris to renew his British work permit. The 28-year-old has missed Arsenal’s pre-season tours to Australia and China after being given extra time off after competing for his national side in the Confederations Cup. His refusal to sign a new contract at the club has led to a long summer of transfer speculation, however, with the F...

Image
Latest news in sports Hotsportnews.ml The signing of Alexandre Lacazette has been a real highlight of the last few months, whilst the retention of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil stand the Gunners in good stead for next season. There’s more good news for Arsenal today too, with David Ospina  confirming  his intention to remain at the club and play for them next season.  According to the Sun , Ospina  said : “I have a contract here, I’m happy and I’m going to fight to the end, I want to continue”. This is significant as over the last few years, Ospina has rarely been a regular in the Arsenal first team. The dominance of Petr Cech has seen his opportunities diminish, and so he has been left with a bit-part role. At 28-years-old, a lot of the fans in the Transfer Tavern had expected him to depart in order to close out his career as a first team regular. Instead, though, it appears as though if wants to battle it out with Petr Cech – and with the Czech Republic intern...

Image
Information coming through from Germany is that Guinea and RB Liepzieg midfielder, Naby Keita is not going to Liverpool. The Reds are interested in the midfielder and new information is that the German giants are not keen to release the player. According to reports, coach Ralph Hasenhutti says he is 100 % confident the player will not join Jurgen Klopp at Anfield Stadium. Why Xavi shoved Neymar in the face during Barcelona bus parade in 2015

Image
Neymar is on the verge of a move to Paris Saint-Germain following four years with FC Barcelona. The Brazilian forward is set to undergo a medical within the next 24-48 hours, according to reports from France, and a world-record transfer could be completed as early as this week. PSG are expected to trigger Neymar’s €220 million release clause, despite threats from Barça, who are reportedly prepared to report the Ligue 1 outfit to UEFA for an alleged breach of Financial Fair Play rules. Many Barça fans have lost respect for Neymar over the past couple of weeks, infuriated by his silence in the midst of intense speculation over his future. And they were further antagonised by the South American at the weekend when it was emerged that he’d spent 15 minutes inside the Real Madrid dressing room following Saturday night’s Clasico in Miami. Neymar was filmed walking away from Madrid’s dressing room with two Madrid shirts in his hands. Some Barcelona fans have even  compared him to Luis Fig...

David Seaman explains why Alexandre Lacazette may struggle in the Premier League

Image
Alexandre Lacazette. Arsenal  fans have seriously high hopes their marquee signing of the summer, Alexandre Lacazette. The France international arrived from Lyon for a club-record £46.5 million fee earlier this month in a hugely important deal for Arsene Wenger. The Gunners boss will be heavily reliant on his countryman to maintain his deadly eye for goal in England and fire them towards Premier League and Champions League contention. Lacazette has got his Arsenal career off to a promising start with goals against Sydney FC and Sevilla – albeit only in pre-season friendlies. But having struck 37 goals in 43 appearances for Lyon last season, the rapid striker provides plenty of cause for optimism around the Emirates ahead of the 2017-18 campaign. Lacazette is set to get his first taste of ‘competitive’ action for the North Londoners when they face Chelsea in the Community Shield at Wembley next Sunday. Like most of his teammates, the 26-year-old struggled to influence proceedings wh...
