Arsenal, Chelsea boost as Real Madrid make local Llorente decision

Real Madrid  will not consider selling  Marcos Llorente  to  Atletico Madrid . Llorente is pushing to leave Real in the coming days and Atletico have expressed interest. But  AS  says Real will not consider selling the midfielder to their city rivals. Real's stance is a boost for Premier League clubs, where  Arsenal  and  Chelsea  have been in contact about a price for Llorente. Real will not consider doing business with Atletico after having to meet the buyout clause of Theo Hernandez to sign the fullback at the end of last season. For his part, Llorente is keen to leave Real, convinced he won't find a place in their star-studded midfield this season.

Barcelona prepare fourth bid for Coutinho

Image
Barcelona are preparing a fourth bid for Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho that could rise to £138m. New reports insist that the La Liga club are not ready to end their chase of the Brazilian playmaker and will indeed increase their offer for him. The Catalan club will test Liverpool’s resolve once more, with an initial payment of £101m up front – with £37m in bonuses. A source in Spain told Sky Sports News: “Philippe has never been more determined to leave Liverpool. “To suggest Barca are thinking of backing out and calling it a day, is absolute nonsense. “They’re all in now; their cards are on the table and they’ll never give up the fight.”

Southampton sign Lazio defender Wesley Hoedt

Image
Wesley Hoedt Southampton signed Netherlands defender Wesley Hoedt from Lazio for a reported £15 million (16.4 million euros, $19 million) on Tuesday. Hoedt agreed a five-year deal with the Premier League club and will arrive at St Mary’s as a potential replacement for his compatriot Virgil van Dijk. Van Dijk is a target for Liverpool and Chelsea, but Saints insists he will not be sold, even though the central defender has still not joined first-team training under new manager Mauricio Pellegrino. Hoedt began his career at AZ Alkmaar in his home country before moving to Lazio in 2015. The 23-year-old, who made his senior international debut earlier this year, can’t wait to get started in the Premier League. “I’m really happy to be here. I think Southampton is a really big club, so it’s a good next step for me to come here and to play in the Premier League and try to help the best I can,” Hoedt told Saints’ website. Hoedt is Southampton...

Arsenal Name Their Price For Alexis Sanchez And It Is Massive

Image
Arsenal have named the price it will cost other clubs to sign Alexis Sanchez and it is a massive £70 million. There may be just a week left of the transfer window but it doesn’t look like the ins and outs are finished at the Emirates Stadium. One man whose name has long been linked with a move away is Alexis Sanchez as he enters the final year of his contract. The 28-year-old is reportedly fit to take part in Sunday’s match with Liverpool but that may not be the case if another club makes a move for him. Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Manchester United and PSG are just some of the clubs linked with a move for Sanchez this summer but it seems that they’re going to have to pay big if they want to land him. Arsenal have reportedly slapped a £70 million fee on Sanchez who could, of course, leave for free next summer if a new deal with the Gunners isn’t signed. £70 million is a lot of money for a player with one year left on his contract, even one as g...

Barcelona should chase this Danish star if countinho's bid fails

Image
Barcelona have sounded out Tottenham star after failed Coutinho bids Messi and Suarez. Barcelona are considering a move for one of Tottenham's star men, according to the Independent's Sports Editor Ed Malyon. The Catalan giants have reportedly given up on Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho, after the Reds refused to budge on their firm stance. Coutinho, 25, handed in a transfer request by e-mail but will now look to repair his relationship at the club who refused to sell him. Barcelona, linked heavily to Jean Michael Seri and Ousmane Dembele, are desperately trying to spend the €222m Neymar's sale to PSG brought in. The French club triggered his release clause and Barca could do nothing to convince the skilful Brazilian to stay at the Camp Nou. Barcelona recently splashed out €40m on Paulinho, following the similarly not-so-inspiring earlier summer signings of Gerard Deulofeu and Nelson Semedo. They're still hopeful of bringing in a marquee signing before the transf...

Valencia signs French midfielder

Valencia Sign Inter Milan’s Geoffrey Kondogbia On Loan . Marcelino’s rebuilding job at Valencia is gathering pace, with the club announcing the loan signing of French holding midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia from Inter Milan. The 24-year-old returns to La Liga four years after leaving Sevilla for Monaco, later joining Inter in 2015, and follows the signing of centre backs Jeison Murillo and Gabriel Paulista. Local media reports suggest that Valencia’s Joao Cancelo will go on loan to the Serie A club as part of the deal. According to reports in the Spanish media, Valencia will need to pay 25 million euros to buy Kondogbia at the end of his one-year loan period. Kondogbia featured 24 times for Inter last season, scoring once and creating two assists as they finished seventh in Serie A. Defensive midfielder Kondogbia will be hoping to slot straight into Valencia’s starting XI, alongside former Arsenal defender Gabriel, when they face reigning La Liga champions Real Ma...

Lionel Messi's Barcelona clause could be activated - City's Pep Guardiola

Image
Pep Guardiola says a club could activate Barcelona star Lionel Messi's €300 million buyout clause -- but sources have told ESPN FC that it will not be Manchester City. Barcelona announced in July that an  agreement was in place for Messi to sign a new four-year deal , but he has still not put pen to paper, and former  Blaugrana  presidential candidate Agusti Benedito has told ESPN FC he would be surprised if he did so anytime soon. However,  Barca maintain that Messi will sign the extension  despite the doubts expressed by ex-club president Joan Laporta and now Benedito, but Neymar's world-record €222m transfer to Paris Saint-Germain has made the possibility of a club paying his buyout clause appear more realistic. Asked about the prospect of a club triggering the clause after Monday night's  1-1 draw  with Everton, City boss Guardiola told a news conference: "I don't know -- someone might if they have the money and want to spend it. "It mi...

Arsenal to hold talk with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Image
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Arsenal are reportedly set to hold crunch talks with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this week to resolve his future. Oxlade-Chamberlain is out of contract at the end of this season and Arsenal are reluctant to let him leave on a free transfer. Reports emerged suggesting the Gunners are hoping to tie the 24-year-old down to a new deal. It was suggested the north London outfit are hoping to offer a four-year deal to ward off interest from Chelsea. Antonio Conte hasn’t been entirely satisfied with the Blues’ transfer dealings this summer, despite bringing in Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Ruidger, Willy Caballero and Alvaro Morata. And according to the Daily Mail, talks between the Gunners and Oxlade-Chamberlain are scheduled to take place later this week.

Arsenal set to axe third player in two days, 22-year-old on his way out

Image
Arsenal are reportedly in advanced talks with Hull City over sending midfielder Jon Toral to the Tigers before the transfer deadline. The 22-year-old is a product of the Arsenal youth academy, but has struggled to make the step up and establish himself in the senior squad. Having spent the last three seasons out on loan, including spells in the Championship, La Liga and with Rangers, it looks as though he’s set to finally land a permanent move elsewhere. According to  Sky Sports , Toral is close to completing a move to Hull, with Leonid Slutsky pushing to get them out of the Championship this season and back into the top flight. Should the deal go through as expected, the midfield ace will become the third player to leave Arsenal in the last two days after Carl Jenkinson and Cohen Bramall sealed exits to join Birmingham City on loan for the rest of the season, as noted by  Sky Sports . It’s not quite the clear out that many expected with more established and senior play...

Breaking news: Barcelona end Coutinho interest

Barcelona have reportedly ended their interest in Philippe Coutinho after a deadline for Liverpool to accept their latest offer expired. The Spanish giants had given Liverpool until 7pm on Sunday evening to accept the new bid for the Brazilian, according to Sky Sports. However, it seems Liverpool have not even responded as they look to keep Coutinho at Anfield. And it spells the end of Barcelona’s failed pursuit of the playmaker, with the Spaniards offering £113million on Friday. Coutinho is sure to be fuming that his move to the Nou Camp has not gone ahead, with the star desperate to leave Liverpool and become Neymar’s direct replacement. Sky Sports Spanish football expert Guilleme Balague said: “We reported on Friday that Liverpool had rejected the third offer from Barcelona and an email was sent back [to Liverpool] from Barcelona saying, ‘okay, you rejected that – if you don’t accept it I must tell you that there is a deadline of today, Sunday...

Riyad Mahrez: Why Arsenal need the Leicester dazzler more than Lemar, Draxler

COMMENT: Don't do it Gooners. Don't cry 'same old, same old'. Not this season. At least, not until this transfer window slams shut. Those away fans at the Brit have every right to feel aggrieved. Frustrated. Absolutely they do. Even the most ardent of Arsene Wenger supporters had to be baffled by his team selection at  Stoke City .  Hector Bellerin  at left wing-back.  Per Mertesacker , Mo Elneny and  Francis Coquelin  all on the bench? It was Stoke. Bloody Stoke. The toughest away game in the league - and Wenger leaves all that muscle in the dugout? What's he doin'? But don't analyse the result. Look at the game. This isn't letting the manager off the hook, but he's right when he says they had enough chances to put this result away. Alexandre Lacazette  should've had his second goal in a week. That was never offside. But what a finish! The Frenchman looks Premier League ready. When was the last time Wenger had such a natural goalscorer to call o...

Barcelona set to activate £36m release clause for midfielder

Image
Barcelona are preparing to trigger the £36million (€40m) release clause of Nice midfielder, Jean Michael Seri and a deal could be wrapped up early next week. The La Liga club is desperate to bolster their squad, following the departure of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain in a world-record move. Seri was a stand-out player in Ligue 1 last season, as his team qualified for the Champions League. The 26-year-old is seen as a deeper lying midfielder and contrary to some reports, he is not believed to be an alternative signing to Philippe Coutinho. Barca are still very keen on Liverpool’s playmaker, despite having recently seen a third bid rejected by the Anfield club. Spanish publication, Mundo Deportivo, reports the imminent arrival of Seri.

Serge Aurier drops social media hint on which Premier League club he hopes to join

Image
Serge Aurier has fallen down the pecking order under Unai Emery . Serge Aurier is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer as they aim to balance the books from Neymar's world record transfer. The right-back is an obvious choice to oust from the Parc des Princes, not least because he has fallen behind Thomas Meunier in the pecking order. The Ivorian's controversial behaviour has also seen his stock decline considerably in Ligue 1. In February of last year, he was accused of making homophobic comments about then-manager Laurent Blanc on Periscope, and he is currently in the process of appealing a conviction for assaulting a police officer. With the latter charge meaning he is banned from entering the UK, it makes the interest of Manchester United, Tottenham, and Chelsea - as per the  Mirror  - a little complex. From a footballing point of view, it's easy to see why the Premier League trio are keen on the 24-year-old. With Meunier having taken his place at full-back since...

Chelsea accept Diego Costa bid

Image
Diego Costa is set to get his wish of leaving Chelsea as they have reportedly agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid for the striker. According to reports in Spain, Chelsea have agreed a £50million fee with Atletico Madrid for Diego Costa to end the saga that has trailed all the involved parties all summer. Costa has been training in his homeland of Brazil, as he awaits a move away from Stamford Bridge. Spanish daily AS claims Atleti will pay £41m up front for Costa with another £9m in potential add-ons as the Blues turn a healthy profit on last season’s top scorer. Chelsea were accused of pricing the Spanish international out of a move as Stamford Bridge chiefs held out for their asking price. Latest news in sports and Get football Jersey here The Spanish outfit we are trying to secure a cut-price £30m deal but appear to have caved to the Blues’ demands as they seek to add firepower. Ray Parlour sends message to Arsenal about Alexis Sanchez's future

Image
The former Arsenal midfielder warns Arsene Wenger that the Gunners need to keep Alexis Sanchez to finish in the top four Arsenal Alexis Sanchez Ray Parlour has warned Arsene Wenger that Arsenal need to keep their best players, including Alexis Sanchez, to finish in the top four. The Gunners are facing an uncertain future with their prized asset after Sanchez entered the final 12 months of his current contract. Arsenal have been unable to agree a contract extension with the 28-year-old amid interest from some of Europe’s top clubs in the Chile star. The north London side are fending off interest from title rivals Chelsea and Manchester City in the South American forward in the summer transfer window. Arsenal could lose the 28-year-old in a free transfer next summer if the Gunners decide to keep Sanchez for another season without reaching an agreement about a new deal. Wenger’s side finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term but the north London club did win...

Less than 2 weeks to go: Arsenal need to tie up deals for these 2 players

Image
The transfer window is certainly heating up and Gunners fans in the tavern are frantically biting their nails as they look to reignite themselves as strong title challengers this season.  Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal kicked off the campaign with a nerve-racking 4-3 triumph over Leicester City, with signs suggesting the boss should primarily focus on his defensive squad, rather than up front. Of course, the tavern’s Gunners fans is more than happy with the two pieces of business the club has completed so far; signing left-back Sead KolaĊĦinac from Schalke and French hotshot Alexandre Lacazette – the latter has already opened up his Premier League account. Saying that, Arsenal don’t have much time left and fears are that the North London outfit will not be able to complete with the likes of fellow capital sides Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as both Manchester clubs. Considering there is less than two weeks until the summer window slams shut, the Gunne...

Manchester City have decided their final bid for Alexis Sanchez this summer

Image
Alexis Sanchez.. Believe it or not, Alexis Sanchez is still an  Arsenal  player. Few supporters would have predicted that to be the case at the start of the summer but Arsene Wenger has made it this far. The news comes in spite of the fact the Chilean will almost certainly not renew his deal at the Emirates. And unbelievably, the Gunners are not offended by the idea of letting him go on a free next summer. They see Sanchez as so important that one last season with the forward is seen as more valuable than a transfer fee. Nevertheless, Manchester City have endured as the strongest and, possibly, final suitors for the 28-year-old. Bayern Munich were believed to be the frontrunners at the start of the transfer window but baulked at Sanchez’s wage demands. Paris Saint-Germain have also shown interest yet seem to prefer a move for Kylian Mbappe. As a result, Sanchez is well and truly in Pep Guardiola’s crosshair. Furthermore, depending on your trust for Chilean newspape...

Barcelona are targeting two new players in case Coutinho and Dembele deals fall through

Image
Ousmane Dembele. Barcelona  could hardly turn down £198 million when Paris Saint-Germain came calling for Neymar, but there's no denying they still took a huge risk. Replacing the Brazilian was never going to be easy and it's proved as much, with Barca at dire straits following rejected bids for Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele. The Blaugrana vowed to reinvest the money from Neymar's sale but sporting director Robert Fernandez has admitted they're struggling. "Not just Barca but any team looking for top quality players are getting involved in a very difficult situation in this market," Fernandez said, per  the Liverpool Echo . "Why? Because the market is where clubs like us want to sign top quality players. There's no buy-out clauses so that makes things trickier. "Yes, we are negotiating with clubs to make several signings, but in all awareness of the difficulty. Dembele and Coutinho are two important players that we like a lot and have don...

Julian Draxler's agent has given a straight answer to PSG exit rumours

Image
Julian Draxler.. All eyes are on Arsene Wenger at the Emirates this season. After a campaign that was punctuated with calls for his head, the Frenchman put pen to paper on a new two-year deal with  Arsenal . Most fans have come to accept the reality of the situation but remain skeptical nonetheless. A shot at the title is, of course, the most desired course for the 2017-18 term yet regaining a place in the Champions League will take number one priority. Wenger has taken to the transfer window in an effort to ensure both his European place and rapport with the fans has recovered come May. Alexandre Lacazette was brought in for a club record £46.5 million, setting up a deadly triumvirate with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil. Then on a free transfer, Sead Kolasinac was procured with the Bosnian already experiencing success. Teammates are citing his incredible strength on the wing and he found the net against  Chelsea  in the Community Shield. Arsenal aren’t finished...
